This is my second macropad style project and was created out of curiosity to see how practical it could be along with building my first PCB with the controller embedded to the PCB as opposed to as a using a controller board.
The design idea behind this board was to have it fit the same footprint as a mobile phone so that a mobile phone case could be used as its housing, the decision was to use the footprint of an iPhone 14 Pro Max as this provided enough space for the keys that I wanted as well as there being a large choice of case designs to go for.
This project again was made possible thanks to pcbway.com who paid towards the cost of production for this project.
